I’m Vickie Carlson of Main Street Geek Marketing and I’m passionate about helping small and local businesses take advantage of the latest in technology: Mobile and SMS Text Message Marketing.
A little about me: Throughout my adult life, I’ve been everything from a part-time bartender & waitress to full-time factory worker, maintenance service manager, receptionist, executive level administrative assistant, telecommuting customer service rep, and my latest position, Title QA for an online content company, all while raising my (now adult) son on my own. I also dabble in direct sales with Avon, because I simply love their products and what the company stands for.
My training background includes numerous software and small business training certificates, several online Internet marketing courses including being a Solo Masterminds (previously Mom Masterminds) graduate and founding member, and I acquired my Inbound Marketing Certification in 2009. Currently I’m working through a year-long Internet marketing certification program offered, once again, by Solo Masterminds. With technology changing as quickly as it does, there’s always something new to learn.
